S4G4

BIO

The S4G4 duo consists of artists Demyn Joel and Rahdel, from Mississauga, Ontario. Built on the foundation of seamless chemistry, their music is driven by versatile production, powerful melodies and captivating lyrics that offer the listener an in-depth view of the artists' perspective.

Both artists have been making music together and individually for well over a decade. They initially began collaborating in 2009 as part of a music collective called ICONIQ MUZIK. After going their separate ways and taking a hiatus from music, Rahdel and Demyn reunited in 2017 and began working on new music together. Their undeniable chemistry in the studio and common vision for the music industry allowed them to organically become the duo that is S4G4.

The duo rebranded and emerged onto the scene in 2018 and quickly made a splash with the fan favourite single "Bruce Wayne”. They continued the momentum with a group of singles that includes "Quickness, "7:45" and "Assumptions" produced by Keys, to set up the release of their first independent, self titled EP in 2019.

Over the past couple of years S4G4's catalogue has amassed over 2 million streams and they have become a mainstay at Toronto's biggest urban radio station Flow 93.5. They were highlighted and invited multiple times on Flow’s Made in Toronto Takeover, one of the most prominent segments/shows of the radio station. Around the same time a fan who was moved by the music arranged for the duo to be on a billboard at Yonge and Dundas Square, which is basically Toronto’s Times Square. This was a huge accomplishment as it is very unlikely for rising independent artists to get that kind of recognition without label or DSP partnership.

Their growing popularity led them to get nominated for 2 awards in their hometown at the annual Mississauga Music Awards which included Video of the year and Fan Choice Artist of the year. The duo won the fan choice artist of the year at the event and co-headlined the after party concert at Rec Room alongside Canadian hip hop legend Maestro Fresh Wes. They closed out the year releasing their upbeat, club banging smash Landed in Atlanta featuring another Mississauga artist, Devon Tracy.

During this time, Demyn Joel was recruited to become a part of a writing camp in LA with legendary producer and songwriter Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins. As a result of this camp he was able to get a record placed with Atlantic artist Bri Steeves.

The duo has been networking, building their social media presence and working relentlessly in the studio. They have music coming out soon with Guapdad 4000, Berner and Blocboy JB. They were also humbled to be invited to record at the Spotify Genius Studio. Given the history of their growth, output, talent and work ethic, the sky is the limit for this duo and 2020 is projected to be their most productive and successful year yet.
